Chocolate Orange Checkerboard Christmas Cake and a Tigger!


The wonderful thing about Christmas is......




Sometimes it speaks for itself....


Then you find yourself right in the middle of all the excitement....

This cake has been bought to you today by:

Ingredients;  chocolate, chocolate oranges and tangy oranges ,  simple orange buttercream and chocolate buttercream. My recipe chequerboard or checkerboard cake, use orange in the first batter, orange and light cocoa in the second and dark cocoa in the third. 

Great smells;  Zest of oranges, melting chocolate

  10. Thank you wish I remember your reindeer cake pops too so I went I checked back and found your Kitkat cake love it. As for pooping reindeer check out the bah humbug blog before this one....a recurring theme :-)

  17. Pauline - what a fantastic cake! Tigger looks quite at home :) And your lettering looks absolutely lovely, I must say! (And I do agree with a previous comment - three shades of cake in a checkerboard cake is showing off a bit, but I LOVE IT!!) Keep it up! ;)

    1. Thank you Becky, things get a bit hectic at Christmas on the baking front but he did cheer us up. Talking about showing off you've given me an idea, maybe more than three shades? Maybe six or seven. One for the future currently making valentine cupcakes :-)) ahhhh
